If you know of a better place to go for reports for any of these states please email me at aaron@clearwaterflyrods.com WIPERS RELEASED IN NEWCASTLE RESERVOIR To help combat the over population of golden shiners in Newcastle Reservoir the DWR this year stocked wipers in the reservoir. A wiper is a white bass/striper hybrid that has feeding habits similar to a striper. They "herd" the bait fish together and then feed til they're full. This should mean for some exciting fishing in the coming years as there will be wiper boils at Newcastle. When stocked these fish were just over 1 inch long so they are still pretty small and will take a few years to be big enough to actually control the illegally stocked shiners.
